BEHIND THE SCENES

CREATION PROCESS

To create my music video in the style of an animatic, I had to create many individual scenes. This image to the left is an example of ones of these many scenes.

Each of these scenes are made of multiple layers, each with its own part of the scene on them. The scene example on the left is comprised of four layers. The first layer is of the character "Tulip". The second layer is of the thought bubble. The third layer is of the table. The fourth and final layer is of the flower pot, phone, and speaker. These layers by themselves are not much, but when combined together, make a detailed and successful scene.

Each of these scenes were drawn by me on an iPad, using a digital drawing app.

This image to the left is an example of the many different scenes that i had to make in order to create the animatic music video.

Some of the scenes look very similar, with only minimal differences. This is so that the transitions between each scene looks smoother.

Many scenes also had elements copied into them in order to save time and to keep consistency between each scene.

Once all the scenes were drawn, they were edited together in a stop motion animation app. Many clips were made so that I had full control over the length and ordering of each clip.

Finally, all the clips that were made were edited together in iMovie and music was added, completing the music video.
